We had the opportunity to discuss the very enjoyable doubles night. Sadly we did not get the 16 we needed, but went ahead anyway as a trial. It did prove that we do need 16 if we do it again. We will not schedule another doubles night but instead make it an impromptu event, so the next time we have 16 players turn up we will run it again if all are keen.
We also discussed changing the format a little by letting people choose their own partner. Again using the Raw Average we will ask players in turn, starting at the bottom, to choose a partner. They could choose the strongest player or someone they gel with.
